Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026 (draft)

The short version

  • We collect business details, the owner's credit report and a one-time read of business bank data only to produce a credit-readiness report.
  • Bank access through Plaid is read-only, happens once, and is removed right after. We never see bank passwords and cannot move money.
  • Uploaded credit report files are deleted automatically after 30 days.
  • Sensitive data is encrypted with AES-256. Everything travels over HTTPS.
  • We do not sell your data.

Who we are and how Trigganator is used

Trigganator is a business credit-readiness platform. Credit advisors ("advisors") use it under their own brand to check whether their small-business clients are ready to apply for business credit or funding. If you are a business owner, you will usually reach Trigganator through your advisor's branded portal, and your advisor decides which businesses are added.

Trigganator is not a lender and not a credit repair service. Lenders make their own decisions. Nothing here is a promise of approval or funding.

What we collect

From advisors

  • Name, business name and email address, used to run the account.
  • Branding you upload, such as a logo and colors, used to style your portal.

About a client business

  • Legal business name, state of registration, EIN, business address, business phone number, website and business email.
  • The owner's name and email address, so they can be invited and sign in with a one-time email link.
  • Results of the checks we run: state record status, EIN name match, address type, phone line type and caller ID name, website and domain details, D-U-N-S and industry information.

Credit report

  • The credit report PDF the owner chooses to upload, and the items we find in it that lenders look at.

Bank cash flow

  • If the owner connects their business bank through Plaid, we read up to 12 months of account balances and deposits once.
  • The connection is read-only. We cannot move money and we never see or store bank sign-in passwords.
  • The bank connection is removed right after that one-time read. We keep the summarized results for the report.

This website

  • This marketing website does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Why we use it

  • To run the readiness checks and produce the PASS / WARN / FAIL report and fix list.
  • To let the advisor and the business owner sign in and see that report.
  • To send sign-in links and service emails.
  • To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell personal or business data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

  • The advisor who added the business, and the business owner they invited.
  • No other advisor. Each advisor's data is kept separate.
  • Our service providers, only as needed to run the checks and the service (listed below).

Service providers we use

ProviderWhat for
PlaidThe one-time, read-only connection to the business bank account.
State-record and EIN lookup serviceChecking the business's state registration and that the EIN matches the legal name.
SmartyChecking that an address is a real street address and whether it is commercial or residential.
TwilioLooking up the business phone line type and caller ID name.
OVHHosting the application and its data.
Email providerSending one-time sign-in links and service emails.

How we protect it

  • Sensitive data, including EINs, bank results and credit data, is encrypted with AES-256.
  • All traffic uses HTTPS.
  • Each advisor's data is kept separate from every other advisor's.
  • Data is backed up nightly, and backups are encrypted.

How long we keep it

  • Credit report files: deleted automatically 30 days after upload.
  • Bank connection: removed right after the one-time read.
  • Client records and reports: kept until the advisor deletes the client. When a client is deleted, their data is removed from the live system.
  • Backups: encrypted backups age out within 30 days, so deleted data also leaves the backups within that time.

Your choices

  • Business owners choose whether to upload a credit report and whether to connect a bank.
  • To have a business removed, ask your advisor to delete it, or contact us and we will help.
  • Advisors can delete any of their clients at any time.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
